A ww2 zuckerman helmet with lineri believe it's called zuckerman helmet, but please do your own researchthe zuckerman helmet, officially designated as the civilian protective helmet, was a british helmet designed for use by civil defence organisations & the general public during world war iiit would make a great lamp if you mounted either a filiment bulb on the top, or inside if you could find an appropriate bracketit was researched & designed by solly zuckerman, derman christopherson & hugh cairnsbehind the lining is still rusty, but some original colour is still presentthe base is approx " at its longest dimensionsplease feel free to make an offerthe outer & outer rim has been waxed & polished, so it's actually quite smooth & tactilepostage includes being signed forin expected used & poor condition for an item of this age & naturemarked size 7 jrs on its leather head bandplease study the images, as they also form part of the description & please do your own researchthe rust & corrosion has a nice yellowish colour to it, especially when the light hits ita small part of the rim had rusted awaycan post at extra cost

Officialy known as the civillian defence helmet, this helmet was designed by professor zuckerman for use by fire watchers and civil defence forcesmanufactured from pressed steel with a leather and webbing liner which was attached to the helmet via a chord passed through the helmets surfacean example of home front headgear from the blitz periodthis example is in good condition with original paint and linerthis item was stored in the loft so does show signs of age but it still in good condition as can be seen in the pucture, read morethe inner rim of the hemet is stamped with a date and the original string is in good condition, the liner is in very good conditionthere is a little rust spot here and there but is not rusted throughit still looks good
