A ww2 zuckerman helmet with lineri believe it's called zuckerman helmet, but please do your own researchthe zuckerman helmet, officially designated as the civilian protective helmet, was a british helmet designed for use by civil defence organisations & the general public during world war iiplease study the images, as they also form part of the description & please do your own researchmarked size 7 jrs on its leather head bandit was researched & designed by solly zuckerman, derman christopherson & hugh cairnsit would make a great lamp if you mounted either a filiment bulb on the top, or inside if you could find an appropriate bracketcan post at extra costbehind the lining is still rusty, but some original colour is still presentpostage includes being signed forthe rust & corrosion has a nice yellowish colour to it, especially when the light hits itthe base is approx " at its longest dimensionsa small part of the rim had rusted awayin expected used & poor condition for an item of this age & naturethe outer & outer rim has been waxed & polished, so it's actually quite smooth & tactileplease feel free to make an offer

Officialy known as the civillian defence helmet, this helmet was designed by professor zuckerman for use by fire watchers and civil defence forcesan example of home front headgear from the blitz periodmanufactured from pressed steel with a leather and webbing liner which was attached to the helmet via a chord passed through the helmets surfacethe inner rim of the hemet is stamped with a date and the original string is in good condition, the liner is in very good conditionthis example is in good condition with original paint and linerthis item was stored in the loft so does show signs of age but it still in good condition as can be seen in the pucture, read moreit still looks goodthere is a little rust spot here and there but is not rusted through
