  • G29 is a great wheel but be prepared to do some after-market modifications

I wish I had found the discussion dealing on the Logitech support forum to a serious design flaw before I ordered this wheel. An issue only apparent on the G29 is the cable used to connect the board in the main housing to the wheel. The grade of the cable by design is too thin and over time (sometimes sooner rather than later) due to the 900 degrees of rotation of the wheel - this cable will wear out and the copper wiring will break causing the buttons to engage when rotating the wheel when force feedback kicks in. The result is sometimes other options suddenly engaging while racing/driving etc depending on the button assignments on the wheel. If you can imagine on an online race this can be very frustrating when you suddenly loose control because the handbrake is engaged or the camera view changes. Logitech have no official statement about the issue it seems but there is an excellent forum that shows you exactly what you need to replace: community(dot)logitech(dot)com/s/question/0D531000051059RCAQ Also it may pay to order this from Ebay: JST 2.0 PH 7-Pin Female Connector with Wire ^ I'm waiting for mine to arrive from Hong Kong so be prepared to pay for import tax if you live in Europe etc. Other than this, I love the wheel and once I get the better cables and replace the faulty ones this will be a solid gaming device well worth the money. Definitely recommend getting the H shifter when you get this to complete the immersion!

  • G29

Decided to buy one after my thrustmaster t300 broken few times. G29 has stronger ffb and not overheating after few laps like t300 and does not reducing ffb strength. But g29 clipping because of its helical gearing and it feels not realistic at all. To remove clipping you need to reduce ffb strength almost to zero and at the end you have weaker ffb than t300 :( Much better pedals than stock t300 and included shifter, all together (3 pedals shifter and the wheel)cost much less than t300 with only 2 pedals without shifter. Tried asseto corsa and gt sport. I don't like how it feels with asseto corsa but it's not to bad with gt sport. T300 any game run perfectly! But I hate overheating and repairs after every couple months (burned power supply, calibration at start up problems, and finally stopping gearing, wheel rotation now stops not at 1080' but around 1200' wich cause not possible calibration) :(

  • More than I ever expected.

I'm really surprised how strong the force feedback is, I actually had to lower it when I firstly tried. This is highly immersive experience and I am recommending it to every one who seek the SimRacing or wants to save money on practice for driving license, as it is very realistic when you get the additional H-shifter. Combined with VR headset you really feel like in the car (G-force aside). The wheel is quiet comparing to early 2000's G25 or G27. The leather is really well done and 23 functional buttons can establish control within any sim-racing game. 900° of rotation is plenty and can fit into any racing game. Pedals are great for beginners and there are available add-ons for more advanced players. I was concerned about their movement on my space, but they come with a very good rubber for solid surface and carpet grip extension if you have one likewise. The cables are long, but can be rolled under the steering wheel base for comfort. Overall the prize is well stated, for about £40 extra, you can get H-shifter to create the best setup for beginners and enthusiasts - it is more than enough to make you sweat after long race and you will sleep like a baby. So far I've done over 100hours of ride, even on 3/4 of force feedback the motors bearly warms up but this is a workout range. 2.6Nm may sound like nothing but it's more than enough.

  • Feature Rich, Quality Wheel

As someone who is just starting out on their wheel journey, this was probably an expensive purchase. However I have no regrets. The wheel is feature rich but not overwhelming. There is plenty on the wheel which means if you are using this on the PC, once you have it set up, you need not touch your keyboard or mouse in most cases. Using it on console is straight forward, plug and play. When combined with VR You are completely immersed, short of being in an actual car, its almost true to life. (With my X Rocker Chair the rumble feed back on that really helped me feel like I was in a car.) The wheel has a 900 degree turning circle which is plenty in any game and should really be what you are looking for when buying a wheel, I think anything less can be limiting. The wheel can be quite noisy, from what I have read there are less noisy alternatives, however if you are just starting out as I am, this is a perfect wheel and the less noisy alternatives are a little more expensive, if the noise issue will bug you, then prepare to spend a little more. If you are already a wheel pro, then spending a little more is probably something you are already prepared for. Driving games with a wheel is a steep learning curve, not for the fainthearted and easily defeated out there. Try out a friends or maybe start out with something a little cheaper before investing. If you have already purchased and decide it's not for you it's a big expense. However they do retain quiet a bit of value in resale, just don't expect to get exactly what you paid.

  • Great Value ,Highly recommended.

Excellent value for money ,Bought for use on pc and ps4 works fine on the ps4 with gran turismo. Not yet set up with F1 on pc yet.The pedals are adjustable so you can space them apart to suit your needs ,after getting used to using the wheel it seems fine.no complaints so far ,i cant make any comparisons as its the first time using this set up. The wheel comes with built in clamps which are doing a fine job so far. The pedal base has a built in grip system which works ok. Would recommend ,

  • Great product for a good price

This wheel, pedals and shifter are the perfect way to get into sim racing or casual gaming. They are easy to use but also are well made and put together meaning the driving experience is very good. The pedals have a very nice weight to them and grip onto most surfaces

  • Sick little sim tool.

This is awesome bit of kit. It’s not easy to just jump on and instantly be fast but with practice it enhances your experience of whatever game you’re playing ten fold. Personally only played it on GT sport and f1 on PS4 and works well on both but really good on F1 with the quick steering lock on f1 cars and makes cockpit view much easier to do as you don’t need to keep adjusting steering angle. Storing it is a bit of a pain in the arse but worth it if you have space. Wish I’d bought one years ago.

  • Good purchase

The only cons I can think of are these: -The brake pedal requires a lot of force to be fully pressed, which actually causes my chair to slide a bit backwards each time I hit the brakes. -The optional shifter is, to me at least, a must, but it's more toy-like, unlike the wheel itself, which is great.

  • Good force feedback wheel and pedals for recreational use

The wheel and pedals are good, feedback is good. Small negatives are the almost negligible play in the feedback gears, and the number of cables required to operate it (3 with pedals and no shifter).

  • Love this item

Its really good easy to use I'm fantastic build quality. The only issue is that some people are complaining about issue with the wiring that connect to steel wheel to the motherboard , that the connection on it need to be hot glued so they don't move around I have a had a issue yet but only time will tell.
