This feeder is brilliant as it is a good solid item. First bought one from another supplier with plastic front that squirrels chewed in no time and completely ruined it but this one is much stronger. Squirrels did not eat at first so put a slight wedge to hold top open till they got the idea. They have chewed part of the outer wood but done very little damage

The product is well made and looks pretty with the squirrel cut out design,but the squirrels who come into our garden cannot lift the top which is too heavy making it difficult to get at the food, we therefore have to prop open the plastic front panel so they can scrape it out and also we put food onto the platform as well which is not what we were expecting .

I've had a few of these over the years and they are just right, they fit easily and securely (use screws,, not nails) also, unlike others, they are not too deep and with vulnerable windows as others have been. Obviously made by people who know their stuff.

I love this, the pigeons try to eat the nuts but cant get to them, the squirrels played with it for a while, and then bingo it got its head inside, ran off and buried the nuts. Funny to watch.
