  • Noctura aren't rated one of the best Air Coolers for nothing...

Though these things are bulky and can be abit unweildy, especially in smaller cases (no chance in hell), The performance gains are impressive... Previously I was running the stock wraith cooler for my AMD Ryzen 2600x. Since taking the plunge and getting my hands on the Noctura D15, my CPU temps are 10degs cooler on idle and about the same on load. Impressive as that is, the fact the fans are truly quiet and the only noisy fan noise I still get is from my front fan case fan (which is just a generic fan). I have plumped out and bought another Noctura fan to run from my fan controller to cure that problem, that impressed with their fans as I now am. Sure, this thing isnt small in size OR price... But for the outlay it is without certain one of the best PC upgrades you can get for under £80... If you want to keep your PC's CPU happy and don't want to go down the sometimes expensive or messy route of water cooling...

  • Finally, some peace.

I recently purchased the NH-D15, and I must say, I'm quite impressed. My aging Cooler Master Eclipse was running like a power drill on my Fx-8350, and was driving me crazy. I could only use the desktop for games, videos, and 3D modeling (audio and music drowning out the fan); now, it runs much quieter than my laptop - you cannot even tell that the machine is on (apart from the GPU fans kicking in, in tasking applications). This is not the most affordable aftermarket cooler on the market, but it gets the job done quite nicely and quietly (I'm not even using the extra quiet connector that came in the box). However, be aware that this is a huge component; it won't be able to fit into the smaller cases. I would definitely recommend it, if you have the space. Conclusions: +Efficient cooling with a huge block and 2x140mm fans +Comes with high quality thermal paste +Very quiet - Not really a con, but very large; a bit difficult to attach if you don't have a lot of room, even if it fits. Make sure you have a large enough case.

  • She's cold as ice

Super cool, better than liquid. Beware, it is massive so won't fit in anything less than an ATX case, even then it pushes it's nose against the window, and more so it's a push to fit the second fan if you have more than two sticks of RAM and nowhere to turn it. But hey, I've not even hit 70 Deg C on maximum.

  • Great cooler, fairly quiet.

Replaced a corsair h100i as with my new i7 9700k it was running flat out and was quite loud. Stuck the noctua in and instantly lower max temps and far quieter. Not gone above 62 degrees c yet. Old cooler was 72 -78 on similar load.

  • "My Noctua-NH-D15"

Dear readers, So almost a month ago now I bought a Noctua-NH-D15 which I believe truly saved my Rig/System, I was using the stock cooler with the stock thermal compound and yielding temps ranging at idol from 25c to 33c depending on ambient temperatures and under load ranging from 33c to a whopping 53c. Since installing the Noctua-NH-D15 those temperatures are a thing of the past with new idle temperatures ranging from as low as 13c to 18c at the exact same ambient temperatures this is whilst running a AMD 8370 stock clocked at 4Ghz, under load was even more impressive whilst playing the latest triple A title games with temperatures ranging from 18c to no higher than 31c with all settings maxed at out at Ultra. The Noctua-A15 Fans are as quiet as a whisper and allow over clocking to a comfortable 4.3Ghz via the Bios Genie, what is even more astounding is that the temperatures after over clocking remained pretty much the same as fan speeds increased to cope with the over clock, the temperatures ranged from 3c at idle to a maximum of 21c even when under load! Fitting is extremely simple as all you need is right inside the multiple boxes contained inside the labeled box from Thermal compound to tools and even a Y splitting PWM cable and much much more, the fitting of the heatsink again is simple but what is not mentioned for the AMD bracket is that a great deal of pressure is required when threading the pressure screws compared to the Intel X mount which are both equally as secure as one another but that said the AMD brackets have 2 screws and requires constant pressure on either side at the top of the heatsink to keep them threading smoothly. My only regret is that I wish I could attach this to my graphics card as this is a over clockers dream without the need of water cooling and the ability to achieve the exact same temps if not better as say a Corsair Hydro H110 without the worry of water ruining your hard earned systems. Worth every penny despite the price which I feel could come down £10 to £15 making this the only cooler you should consider! I hope you enjoyed my review!

  • Fit like a glove

I was amazed at the size of it and thought it wouldn't fit into my casing, however it fit perfectly. It was so quiet in operation and kept a cool airflow going through my PC. Would recommend this for anyone.
