Yes, it "extends" the network but also slows it down.
Pro:- 2 small pages about how to connect Looks good. Cons:- 135 page manual on how to connect it properly. It is a complex product. Slowed down the network for the devices connected to it. Good mesh extender to have seamless wifi coverage
It creates a nice mesh with my nighthawk x6s ac4000 router. The entire home is now covered with good wifi signals. Only thing I notice is that sometimes it seems a bit slower to switch the router.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

VERY GOOD ONCE SETUP
This (NETGERA EX8000 WiFi Extender) is a good WiFi extender. Use WPS to sync it with your router and that's it, but if you need to access the mywifiext.net to change settigs or password on the extender, can be cumbersome. I had to use the IP first time, which is 192.168.1.250. The second time I needed to change 5ghz channel pasword the IP wouldn't work, I had to use another ip address! Other than the little hitch, its fine and and as smooth as butter! By the way NETGEAR will only give you 90 support from new, after these period you pay around £75/yr.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
