fascinating little Fuji the 4700Z, the first time i saw this model was in 2000/1 in the Leica news letter, it was then named the Leica Digilux 4.3 at a whacking £645 price tag, Leica 'tweeked' it a little to suit their marketing preferences with a few software adjustments, or so they hoped we would believe, and a few cosmetic embellishments but it was still very much a Fuji digital camera of excellence,I like mine very much, although battery life is very short indeed, lots of spares required when out and about, nice images though, for an oldie at least.

This camera looks good and appears in pristine condition, but that is where it ended. The batteries ran out in a few minutes and the lack of any kind of manual made it impossible to set anything up. Result , one usless camera, and depite my contacting the seller , Inever got a reply. the bad experiences on E-bay have been have been virtually none and the fault here is that i should have been aware that i wouldn't get very much for £24 . it has been a learning curve that tells me that all people have not got the same sense of honesty that i have. My word is my bond. Bad deal lesson learned. will watch more carefully in future. Tom Tyson
I bought this camera because the first one I had I lost it in the States. It took great pictures,so I just had to replace it with another. It was the first digital camera I ever did buy. I like everything about the camera,so while browsing on ebay I happened to see one and decided to bid.Won the bid,and HEY PRESTO I am one happy chappy. It is an older camera, but suits my requirements.Easy to use in every way. Unfortunately production has come to an end so you may be able to get one in an auction.
I bought this camera as a duplicate for one I already have which has developed some faults. A local camera shop has quoted £120 to look at it, not guarante-ing they can fix the problem. Although large battery usage with this camera, the overall quality is very high all round. And my wife wanted a digital camera with a view finder. When I purchased my original 5 years ago, it cost me £350, and the cards (128mb)were £90! Because of ebay I was able to replace it with two cards and the camera for £32, and it represents huge value for money.
This is my second camera of the same make and kind. I absolutly love it. I do lots of photography and bought my first 4700 as soon as it came out. I think I paid about £700 for it. It has been great. I wanted another of the same kind so I didn't have to buy different cards and batteries. This has also been a great camera and a great buy on EBay. They take great pictures and you can really zoom in and get brilliant pics. The 4700 is a compact camera and easy to use and carry. It is easy to change the memory card and easy to load onto a pc. I love it!
