Bought this set for my son, I loved it when I was a boy, seemed like his turn! They've changed the track connections, which were difficult for for him to disconnect (he's 7), but apart from that, not a lot has changed. I was dissapointed that the cars in this set were so badly mismatched, making racing against each other difficult. Also, the lack of a pair of crossovers make one of the track sides considerably longer. I'd guess this is to make you buy extra expansion sets and cars.

Purchased as a Christmas gift for 7 year old. The product is a perfect starter into the world of Scalectrix. Two cars supplied both fairly big and stickers need to be applied which was an added bonus and my child loved! The track is easy to assemble but did have marks here and there but doesn't affect the race. It's robust, and already have had hours of fun. Spare contacts are supplied which will be useful. All in all an excellent set up and good value for money too!
