For what it is the camera kit is interesting, absorbing, entertaining, educational, and very well concieved and designed, and should provide a few hours of enjoyment in its construction. For what I paid for it I consider it very good value. With regard to the end product, you will end up with a working camera as such, but photographically (and quite understandbly) of very limited capability. It will record an image with the plastic lens, will focus, but there will be no form of exposure control or adaptability. The chief interest is in its construction.
