Old kit but still works well
This was and is a great product why google stopped making it i dont know. They are great for turning any speaker zith a 3.5m jack into a wifi speaker. With the google home app you can even have groups of them all playing the same source.

It runs a bit too hot for comfort
It runs a bit hot for comfort. None of my other tech kit runs quite as hot as this. Maybe it's small size means that it is unable to dissipate heat quickly. As a piece of equipment that is supposed to be "always on" this heat issue is quite concerning. Has anyone else had this issue?

Little gem
I needed to be able to stream music through spotify and theough other casting apps to a powered/portable speaker in the kitchen and this did the job perfectly. Easy to set up and streaming is great. Other family members also can cast, so it is quite good from that point of view as well. No need to be around or in a bluetooth range... great little gadget, pity it is discontinued...
