Xbox owner buys ps4
Ok graphics for the exclusives are amazing.gameplay is great. I finally bought one as I really wanted to play about 6 or 7 games you can’t get on the Xbox. Was it worth it ... only time will tell. I’m not going online with Sony as I prefer my Xbox for that. I was after single player titles and boy do they do the job. Glorious Ok now the negative.... The controller on ps is shaped completely wrong, feels weird and just feels cheap. I like that you can keep it wired to the console or go wireless with a build in battery but it feels off some how. My biggest gripe is how loud the console can get when the game taxes it. It seriously sounds like a jet warming up on the runway. Oddly I get around this by doing 2 things... buy some stands to mount it on in each corner to get it off the floor so air can circulate better and weirdly take the top off the console. Taking the lid off keeps it cool and doesn’t tax the fan so much quieter. I’ve cleaned this thing out so it’s not dirty but my god they are loud. This has ripped me out of my immersion many a time.....didn’t happen with Xbox. So will I jump ship to Sony for ps5??? Not sure but as of August Sony has 6 exclusives and Xbox has 12 and NO ONE is talking about that. sony apparently can do no wrong. Mechanically Xbox is designed for gamers and I truly believe that as Sony need to make something beautiful.. please concentrate on keeping your console cool and quiet as Microsoft learnt a generation ago. Ok verdict time ... if I had to buy one console knowing what I know would I get it again... probably not.I just can t see this being my primary platform. Ps5 then...?? The graphics are amazing!

New to PS4
Not my first Games Console, I had a Sega mega Drive back in the 90s. Bought this to stop the boredom of lock down and it was by far the best ive made. Love golf so the first game i purchased was the PGA 2K21. Graphics are great, I have a soundbar on my TV so the sound quality if very good too. PS4 - great time to buy
With the PS5 launched I decided to buy a PS4 given there were so many available do to people upgrading to PS5. It was well worth it. The graphics are amazing and games very cheap on 2nd hand market. Do you research and get as newer version as you can. I went for the PRo model and one of the more recent versions there of. Great upgrade
Coming from my ps3 I originally bought a original ps4 thinking there would be a improvement in graphics & quality. Only to realise there wasn't much difference between them. Great fun
Upgraded to a ps4 towards the end of its generation and it’s really impressive, also buying one now means the games are really affordable - so if you want a more affordable gaming experience instead of going all in on a PS5, this is perfect. Plugged it in and my 14yr old set it up with a bit of help. Works well with no issues. The only thing I would suggest, is to clean out the socket on the PS4 pro with a small paint brush, as this was dirty from the previous user, before connecting the main cables to the power supply.
