I bought this camera as an upgrade from my DIMAGE Z3 as the Z5 has a bigger view screen. This may be an old camera by digital standards but the quality of photos it can take is superb.

Had a Z6 before this, which was gift several years ago. Managed to drop it on a concrete floor and cost of repair exceeded cost of repalcemtn by some measure! Anyone want a Z6 for spares or repair? ;o)) Excellent camera's, great pictures, and i anything better antishake on the Z5 than on the Z6. Well pleased!

this camera takes stunning pictures, I am not a camera person but even I can make this baby work! No problems with transferring pictures to the PC either which in some of my previous cameras has been a problem. Really pleased with the close up pictures all perfectly in focus.
I was after a camera that could not only take very close up photos (like 1cm) but that also had a large optical zoom. I honestly thought it would be an impossible combination as most cameras are good at one but not the other.........not this one though. I've used mine to take allsorts of photos ranging from amazing close ups of autumn fungi to photos of my camera shy son using the x12 zoom and every single one has come out perfect. I was going to sell mine on ebay and upgrade to a bigger megapixel camera but there's just no other camera that does what this one does and to be honest, 5 megapixels is ample unless your a professional photographer (in which case you'd be using a DSLR :P). As others have said it's so easy touse and the different flash modes mean great photos in any conditions.
