Good value, long battery life and compact are irrelevant questions. It is the flagship and most expensive phone. The battery life is determined by what you do and it is intentionally wide-screen for a better experience, so not compact . This phone is simply exquisite. The quality feel of Sony is second to none in my opinion. The screen and camera are outstanding. Just be sure you want a phone of this size as there are pros and cons. Its is like having a small tablet rather than a practical handy phone. If like me, this is what you want then I would highly recommend the Xperia 1

Pros: Despite only 3300 mah the battery last until the end of the day, camera is as good as the S10+, screen is awesome to watch movies in HDR 4k, the screen in direct sunlight is good for viewing but not so bright in indoor places, the design is amazing everybody will talk about it and say "that is a nice phone, wow". Cons: Battery life is enough for one day only, a few bugs in the UI such as animations lag down a bit but it rare to happen, Camera app should be less buggy as well (sometimes you take a picture and it appears a green image only), the screen should be a bit brighther (it only gets really bright when you watch a movie).

It can be one of the best phone in town if sony enable screen setting to auto fix wide on app or video that don’t support the screen size just like my old Samsung note range.

Sony take some beating with the beauty of their smartphones, they are stunningly beautiful and outshine all the rest... Having owned a xz premium and an xz2 l could no longer change over to the other names.... They just haven't got the 'WOW' factor a sony has.
