When it works, this is a very good product. My grandson (7) really enjoyed drawing out and colouring the pre-loaded pictures. The Android app is easy to work and pictures taken on the phone load easily to the projector. But there seems to be a systematic fault with the plug-in SD card ("ear") that carries the pre-loaded pictures. I bought a first Sketcher, which worked for a couple of days, then a message came up to insert the card although it was already in place. No amount of taking the card in and out of its slot or careful cleaning would make the projector recognise it. I returned that projector and bought a replacement, the subject of this review. Again it worked at first, but after only one day we got exactly the same problem with the SD card. That projector is also in the process of return. I am going to try one more, then give up if the issue manifests itself again.Read full review

My 8 year old granddaughter is enjoying what she can achieve with her Smart Sketcher, however the projection is very weak and she struggles to see where to draw along the outlines. This could be improved with a much stronger light source. Its quite an expensive piece of kit (£27 for refurbished product & had to buy SD card for £20 which I didnt expect) for what it does.

The box states it should contain the activity card. It doesn’t. I’ve only found one available to buy at Argos, it is £20 about museums. What should be straightforward turns into a waste of time to download apps and images. Not worth the money
