I know some people are worried that this kind of baby bouncer might be in some way detrimental to a child's development, but so can anything taken to excess - everything in moderation. Our baby loves her bouncer because it gives her some control over her own movement even though she's not crawling or even sitting very confidently yet, and the upright posture gives her a great view around the room. The bouncer is of reassuringly high quality materials and solid construction, and it's great to be able to put the baby in it for 15 minutes or so and let her jump around, grinning her head off, while we get on with something else the other side of the room.
