Probably the best audio quality you would ever get with this kind of technology. Sounds surprisingly good in a low noise or silent environment with good bass and high end detail. Certainly won't beat earbuds that cost a third of the price, but you're far less likely to get run over. I also appreciate not feeling so isolated from the outside world... on a sunny day it's nice to be able to hear the birds tweeting and other things that remind you you're outside. They're also very lightweight, have great battery life and the bluetooth connection is flawless. These earphones greatest strength is of course their greatest weakness - they allow you to hear environmental sounds, including huge lorries and busses overtaking you. I'm a cycle commuter that mainly cycles alongside a fairly busy road. There are times when I can't hear my music or podcast at all - generally when next to a very noisy vehicle, but this is most annoying when you're being overtaken by cars every couple of seconds. Also when you're moving fastest - i.e. downhill, the sound of the moving air is remarkably loud. I would expect this works far better for runner than cyclists, but as a cyclist I'm glad I bought these and I'm not planning to return them.Read full review

I purchased these headphones so I can ride my bike and still hear what’s going on around me with regards to traffic & pedestrians. The sound quality is very good for something that doesn’t even sit in your ear and the level of sound is also very good. I have a couple of different helmets which I wear when cycling (standard & semi-aero) and neither of the helmets (including the straps) interfere with the Air Headphones. I also tried my cycling glasses on with my helmets and absolutely no issues. I also like having the main button on the left side of the unit to answer/end calls and skip/pause the music. It was definitely worth investing in a pair of the Aftershokz Air and with a 2 year warranty & a carry case included which can be used for cash/cards etc to fit in a back pocket on my cycling top is also a bonus if I want to take them off and store them safely whilst riding. All in all a brilliant product. Note: I am a bit of an audiophile with headphones ranging up to £1000 So as a unit that costs 10% that which I can use whilst cycling that reproduces decent sound (okay, its not as full and detailed as my hi-fidelity in-ears etc) then I am very pleased.Read full review

I have used these several times now, for outdoor walks, runs and also fitness workouts. They are comfortable, light weight and give good clear sound, allowing you to hear what is going on around you too, which is vital when out on the road. Yes, in ear headphones will give you punchier base and a louder sound, but that is not what these are designed for. The sound quality, volume and base in my opinion, is perfect, when you want to be alert to what is going on around you. If you want to listen to music whilst out on the road - whether walking, running, cycling etc, then these are the safest option. I can hear traffic and even people walking, so can remain aware. I also tried the second place brand, but found then to be too heavy and cumbersome, and the band kept getting stuck in my collar, thus moving the headphones, with these, that has not been an issue.Read full review

Having owned the previous generation Bluez 2 the Air was a real upgrade. It’s like skipping an iPhone for several generations, the difference was positive and stark. The Air is light weight and yet still holds your head just has firmly as the Bluez 2 which had a thicker plastic band (surprisingly tight really). The sound quality had improved markedly. It is still not like a normal headphone of course but the clarity and separation of the sound was impressive compared to the old. The volume was around the same though so it can be lacking in a very noisy environment. Build quality is good. I expected a lot given how good its predecessor was and this hasn’t disappointed. It is also a nice touch to get the carry case and ear plugs. I’m sure that will come in handy in the right situation. Overall I’m very pleased. The one thing I have yet to fully test is the battery life but the way I use it I never push it to the limit so it lasts around 5-7 days being used up to about an hour a day.Read full review

wireless, lightweight and great for the hard of hearing, like myself. Too expensive at full price but much more affordable in this case. For those who can hear well you are still aware of your surroundings and would definitely, in my opinion, recommend this to the hard of hearing.
