great Image stabilisation, but not so good battery life
The reason i bought it is for the 4K and great Image stabilisation which is fabulous , but I'm finding it very battery hungry but worth the effort for the end footage . I'm now finding i need to carry more batteries and keep an eye on the battery level for the one in the camera. The voice control hates my accent I'm finding it's very hit and miss on turning on and off using voice control, the easiest way i found is turn it on manually then tell it to turn off which it sometimes does and then if its in the next few minutes i can ask it to turn on again and it generally does, possibly the sleep settings? i must admit being male I've not read the manual and just watched Youtube for operating tips, i have preferred to use my old old GoPro smart remote from a hero4 black to operate the camera which works perfectly and enables me to have the remote on my handlebars and see what the camera is up to from there, Overall a great bit of kit and a massive upgrade from my old hero4 blackVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

GoPro worked, but not without its issues.
After using this camera for a few months I have noticed a few problems. 1. The GoPro completely freezes and the only way to reset it is to remove the battery, this happens ALOT! And is very frustrating. 2. The GoPro for some reason doesn’t connect to the GoPro app, took me 3 hours to download just 1 video At first I thought this might just be a problem with every GoPro but I ended up buying a brand new GoPro hero 8 exactly the same as this and I didn’t experience the same issues with the new one.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Really Pleased
GoPro have improved vastly since using friends in the past, quality of pictures are excellent. I rarely use the Cameras I own as I get lost and forget how to use settings. A couple of YouTube views on best settings and bingo, easy to use with phone App as screen on Camera is still a bit small for my eyes Not used a lot up to now as the Holiday trip I originally purchased it for was cancelled, but still well pleasedVerified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Expensive when new, much better deal after a while
Overly expensive as over engineered for most home users when new, but reasonable when used as they are robust items so deliver above required. Great for fun go-karting videos and the quality is perfect. GoPro Hero 8. Great product, better than expected.
After watching a couple of vids on YT, I soon got the hang of it. I love the ability to use it with voice control. Top camera for the job.
Obviously top of it's game. I have had all the others and this one seems alive. It contacts the mobile, puts all footage in the cloud etc. Not tried the ant-shake yet but the resolution and frame rate seem right and not exaggerated as it is on the others.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

very disappointed
with the video it only records 11mins at a time so if you have recorded for 45mins you have 4 files instead of one joined together, which i didnt know about when i bought it, i used it on my motorbike on a race track & it often used to just turn off & sometimes it would only record the sound with no video footage, i only had it for 3 weeks & i am now sending it backVerified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
