I like the group and have seen them live and have their other albums and dvd. I wanted to complete my collection. The album is the first of the group. The cd was at a good price as the cost plus post was less than the download price. I was well pleased.
This CD is excellent. G4 are extremely talented singers bringing a variety of tracks from pop to classical in their own unique way. I could listen to this at any time of day. Well worth listening to.
I heard that G4 were disbanding and had chance to go to see them in concert in ChichesterCathedral as one of their last events. They were so good decided to look for a CD on ebay. This one had all the songs on they sung that evening so decided to buy 3, one for me, and one each for both my adult daughters.
If only there were original songs on this album. They have amazing voices and the twists on well known songs are fun but there should have been so much more. It's not that the songs don't work, although in two cases I prefer the originals ( No one should touch Queen or Bowie ) Yet a few songs for them designed to show how good they are would have lifted this album from average to Excellent and beyond. In a school report this would say try harder and stop copying other people's work!
What a talented bunch of guys!! They show of their talents for four part harmony to the best through different types of music, from the more operatic style they were trained for, to covers of classics. Mixed into this is some very thought provoking songs with wonderful lyrics that can make you cry. Purchased to replace my orginal brought in 2005 which has been nicked by a friend who's also found out how great they are!!! Best CD in my collection
