This is a great little SLR, all – or nearly all – the features from the 500/600/700 series cameras in a very compact body. With the standard 18-55 zoom lens the size difference isn't as noticeable but teamed up with something like the 24mm STM pancake lens it really is a compact camera. Already I use it more than the 600D it replaced which frequently got left behind at home because it wasn't as compact to pack. The touchscreen wasn't a big selling point for me but I'm finding it much more useful than I thought, often it is simply quicker and more intuitive to navigate menus and changing settings via the touchscreen rather than by navigating and changing settings via the traditional manual buttons and dials. All in all good enough for most people and particularly good when travelling.

I have been very happy with my 100d as it produces very sharp images and it was excellent value for money. The STM kit lens has fast focus when taking photos as well as shooting movies. The compact size is just right to use and it’s great for travelling as it’s so lightweight. A thumbs up from me!
