Great value, well worth initial outlay in terms of reliability, comfort and use convenience.
Bought these for teenage daughter on eBay, significantly below RRP. At the price I paid for them, they are fantastic value. Teenage daughter used to get through pair of lightning headphones, on average, every couple of months. Firmly knocking on wood, she has managed to maintain her first pair of these AirPods for well over that. She adores them, they make her very happy. Further concern before purchase was given how fussy she is regarding comfort and her inclination toward losing or dropping things, is how she'd cope with their fit, would they forever be dropping from her ears, tangled in necklaces, earrings and the like, would she appear after school with only one in her ear, seemingly unaware the other was missing? In short I need not have worried on any of these counts. She has never once mentioned any kind of discomfort (where probably every other item she owns has come under her fire for this at some point in its life); Air pods stop working immediately if separated from one another so she'd know if one dropped or became separated . Fantastic further feature it seems you can synch them with phone to make a noise if you can't find them. Something I would like added to all our items really. All in all, can't fault these, they seem simple to use yet have efficient looking little box with encouraging green light when all is going well, which in general they are. Sole reason for not awarding all five stars is they are Apple which to me is synonymous with neither lasting forever or being particularly robust - at least this is my experience with 3 teens, all of which have tested this brand in term of smashed screens, non charging batteries, headphones falling apart or not working from one speaker, cables dying, resurrecting and all the other headaches Apple have bestowed on me. Sorry, didn't mean to write a missive, my inner Apple bug bear just took me there. In terms of these AirPods however, all is great.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Sound and build quality very good, battery life and consistent connection not quite so
Quality of sound is fairly good. Doesn’t always connect to iPhone though and reconnecting can be a pain. Amount of power disappears quite quickly and unit gets very hot for wireless charging. Very comfortable in ear, lightweight and doesn’t feel like they will fall out. Overall they are ok but would probably reconsider if I were to do this againVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great sound and easy to use.
I bought these refurbished set of AirPods and I must say I was blown away by their complete new appearance. Other than some wear and tear on the retail packaging box it came in there was no sign that it had ever been used before. It took me a little while to be able to figure out how to reset the device and link it to my iPhone but once this was done it connected perfectly to my iPhone. My only criticism is that sometimes you need to repeatedly open and close the the lid on the charging case while your phone screen is on the home screen before the battery level indicator shows up on your iPhone and it does not seem to work without the actual AirPods being inside the charging case. As I have never owned a pair of AirPods before I can’t tell if this erratic delay in displaying the battery level is normal to the AirPods or just this particular ones I have bought. Otherwise the sound quality including the microphone and the comfort of wearing them is brilliant and I have no regrets in buying it. Lightweight and functional, with a couple of minor niggles.
Comfortable and lightweight, with good sound quality (not brilliant, but about the same as apples wired earpods), decent battery life and customisable tap-controls. The only real cons are the lack of volume control (and the inability to map it to a tap control) and the passive sound isolation or noise cancellation being.... well, terrible. Apple Air Pods- the only way to go!
This is the third set of AirPods that we have bought for the family and everyone loves them. Super convenient, charges off the phone cable and comfortable to wear. A definite hit.
