When you have used Microsoft all your life for the mundane task of typing and editing documents and browsing the net just to find after a few weeks you have computer running running slow and requires maintenance you would not believe it could be so much easier. I was apprehensive and thought Macs were just a computer with a pretty exterior. Once you change to a MacBook you will never go back. Nothing compares. I have had mine upgraded twice since purchase in 2011 and I can't seem to find many differences to the latest £2700 MacBook other then a touch bar and a retina screen. I prefer the clicks on my keyboard and the trackpad to the latest versions offered by Apple. The 2011 and 2012 non retina i7 MacBooks still are amazing upgradeable machines. They offer Quad Core processors and maximum RAM upgrades to 16GB. Tie this in with an SSD and you will be amazed at the speed of multiple applications running. A pleasure to own.Read full review

A lot has been written about the MacBook Pro 15 inch 2011 i7 model as a solid workhorse of a machine with lots of good looks added in for good measure. These machines with an original retail price of over £1500, can now be picked up £500 or less in the second hand market, representing excellent value for money. The i7 processors added that extra “kick” of speed into everyday tasks and for more intensive needs like video and image editing provide a much needed time decrease in getting the job done. Just make sure you pump up the ram!

This is just a great computer, I have been using high performance window based pc's since the first one came out. I am hooked on Apple since sine the iPhone 3 and this computer is better than any window based computer I have ever used.
