This was bought as a gift for a young family member ( 10 years) and was very well- received. So much so that it has inspired her to make all kinds of things. It is very age appropriate and ideal as a birthday or christmas gift. The sewing machine comes in its own box , is well-packaged , very lightweight and pre-threaded so it is ready and easy to use. I would recommend it as a gift worth having.
