Pump perfect for my requirements
I purchased this pump to assist in the filling of my aquarium. I drain down by syphon but filled by a 4 gallon bucket. As I get older (70+) I was finding it difficult to lift the container and pour slowly without risking a mess! So now I keep the 4 gallon container on the floor and pump the fresh water in at a steady rate. Brilliant! Why a bucket and not straight into the tank via hose connected to a tap? I have a tropical tank so the water needs to be at a temperature different to the mains water and the water needs treating as I change just 3/4 of the water at a time with the fish present! - Not good for the fish, well I've been doing it this way for 40 years and not lost a fish to this method yet!!
