Every electric guitarist should have an overdrive pedal on their pedal board. I’ve become a big fan of Boss pedals in recent times and decided when I needed a new overdrive pedal then I needed to look at the ‘Boss Super Over-drive’ .. it does exactly what it says on the tin. Lots of flexibility in sound and distortion levels. I’m far from an expert, but I do trust my own ears and the quality of the sounds I’m now making is lovely ( not so much the playing). I would highly recommend this pedal to anyone requiring a bit of punch to their sound. Pedal also feels very robust and well made (as you’d expect from any Boss product.

The modded Boss SD 1 repaced my old Keeley modded Boss Turbo Overdrive in a great way and is not as expensive as th used Keeley modded SD1. I play my 74 Strat with a Barfuss Atomic Punk Humbucker in the Bridge position into a Marshall JCM 800 2203. The GSTAR modded Boss gives a great 80ties metal tone with all knobs on 12 o clock. Exactly what i was looking for.

This pedal has a lovely smooth overdrive sound. Not very high gain but perfect for putting into a clean amp or pushing a dirty amp a little further. I've got maybe 20 overdrive/distortion pedals, this one has its own sound and is definitely a keeper.
