The device is in excellent condition. There are some scratches on the back side of remote, but it is not annoying and it works perfectly. The camera has arrived within a week. the overall condition of the refurbished camera is superb, no marks or scratches. I had previously bought a gopro copy for £20 and video quality was ok but nothing special, after purchasing the gopro hero 3+ the video quality was fantastic, I use it mainly on my motorbike, and the remote control is excellent on the bike.

If you're looking for a low cost way to film under water then this is great. But if you're wanting control over what you shoot and how then you'd need to upgrade. You can't see what you're aiming at to know if you've caught it... But it has a super wide fish eye lense so 90% of the time you will get what you want. The fish eye can't be changed to linear on this model... So if you're wanting close ups or just to shoot what's in front of you I'd maybe get a newer model. The image is clear and works really well in and out of the water.

Is new better? For me the answer is no, having used most GoPro models as a motvlogger I find this combination gives everything needed without the battery draining gimmicks or connectivity issues that newer models seem to create.
