Very happy with the PS4 pro and glad i went for this over the standard version I use it on my 4k telly the graphics it displays are absolutely sick totally unbelievable wow If you've not researched it for your extra money your getting an improved 5G wireless card which is better than the one used in the normal PS4 meaning quicker downloads (Important if you think how much modern games need to update/patch), you have an additional 1GB ram the console uses specifically for apps like netflix/spotify etc meaning it uses the rest of the RAM for gaming, you also get a processor twice as good which is used for the 4k or if your like me and on non 4K it upscales it to a slightly better 1080p graphics (comparison vids online if needed) or you get an option on some games to play in 60frames per second. There is talk it loads quicker etc but id imagine this is largely non noticable to the normal person. It's much quieter than the normal PS4 which is great and you can easily access and clean the fans. My main beef is paying a subscription to access online multiplayer in games. i've bought the console, bought the game, pay for my internet so why am i paying Sony to connect online?! I have an Xbox but I have heard a lot of good stuff in regard to a ps4 pro so thought I'd try one out. Well, technically I bought my daughter one for her bedroom and was blown away with it. So thought I need to get one for the living room. Although I must say another reason for purchasing it was because of the VR capabilities...... which are awesome. Must say though I feel sick as a passenger in a car so I can only go on VR for a short time before I have to take a break.....and a lie down, but worth it.

I have really never been much of a gamer but this has turned me. It is like being in another world. I had a ps1 but decided to buy this because my laptop was running very hot when gaming. It’s brilliant. The speed of loads are good, and it never seems to get phased by anything I play, which is mostly rally and driving games. I do only have a 1080 tv so can’t comment on upscaling to 4K but it’s a lovely piece of kit. In terms of size I was a bit worried about the size but actually it fits nicely behind the tv. It is a great purchase, and I love the whit finish.

Used to have a normal PS4, and after taking a 2 year hiatus from playing, the jump up to the Pro was a no-brainer. The PS4 Pro, in its revised 2018 form, is a great console. On launch, back in 2016, the fan noise was a serious issue. It pays to seek out the updated models from 2018 onwards with the much quieter fans.
