I had bought this tablet for my older daughter and was impressed with the speed and easy to use functions. children's variety of apps available like cbeebies etc bought this for my younger 3 year old. Better sceen but poor functions against gen 3.
This generation 5 Fire is not as good as my deceased generation 3 fire , for games and app's. Screen def better but loading and stability of the touch screen no way near as good as the 3. Its a Kindle, so everyone knows its a solid brand name, however its when you have one you realise the hype isn't just hype its a great bit of kit, the legendary kindle book features enough said, but the addition of TV movies, apps and games in one package makes it a steal at this price. So if you want to make your partner happy give her the kindle fire, it looks and feels expensive, quality brand name and she'll love it, = new man status. Very happy with my new kindle
Very happy with my new kindle. I brought it for reading books primarily and for that it is excellent. I can alter the size of the text to suit which is very useful. The photos are reasonable for a two pixel camera. It is a shame it comes with bloat ware that I will not use & cannot disable but that is the nature of the product not a fault. I find the sound quality for playing music is more than acceptable. Perhaps because it reminds me of the sound of older radio's :} All in all a good purchase. Thank you.Verified purchase: Yes

Best low cost tablet you can buy if you want to experience Amazon and Alexa.
Good value tablet, easy to use, battery lasts long enough, it's only 8gb storage but it's expandable with sd card. It's not the most powerful but if you don't mind the adverts it's fit for purpose. This is the 2nd Kindle Fire that I have bought and I consider them excellent value. The second one is used as a controller for our Sonos system. This was bought as new without the original packing, but it did come with original packing that had obviously been opened. Everything was there,including data cable, power adapter and basic instructions. It's very easy to register and set up. The screen is very clear and books are easy to read. After looking at reviews on YouTube I was very optimistic that this. This item is very good value for money. The only drawbacks to buy this item is the battery life, camera quality and charging time.
