The orchestral playing by the Royal Opera House orchestra, conducted by Evelino Pido, was excellent, along with the singing with Konu Kim as a Young Tyrolean, Saine Devielhe as Marie, Javier Camerane as Tonio, Pietro Spagnoli as the Sergeant in the 21st Regiment, Donald Maxwell as Hortentius, and Miranda Richardson as La Duchesse de Crakentorp.
