Canon EOS 1000D good choice but from save source...
Canon EOS 1000D is very good - easy to use and with good, sharp pictures. I like design, speed and handling. Of course this camer has to bought from "real and save" seller in order to have guarantee. Avoid "grey market" or "stolen" or "different source" camera and sellers which not provide proof of purchase and fullfiled warranty card (e.g. pinksheepdolly - be carefull) As I wrote camera 100% Ok but from good seller.

canon Eos 1000d
This is my first DSLR camera I have owned top quality compact digital cameras before and I was starting to get to a point where point and shoot was not enough I wanted to be creative with the pictures I took. The 1000D lets me do just that I can take excellent quality pictures now using the full auto feature or I can be creative and capture some great shots using the manual set up. I would recommend the 1000D to anyone wishing to take great pictures as a start in the world of DSLR. My reason for choosing canon over other makes was down to the amount of lenses available, The price of lenses can vary hugely so shop about and go to a camera shop and try out the lenses before you buy I now use the standard 18-55 and a genuine canon image stabilised 55-250 which is great for air show photography.Read full review

Good introduction to DSLR photography-easy to use-scope to progress.
This was my first move into SLR photography, always used point and shoot even in the 35mm days. This camera is very easy to use in the auto mode and I am just learning the manual settings which give much more flexibility to your pictures. The sharp crisp pictures taken so far have way overtaken anything I have managed previously; and I have taken some very good photographs over the years. Like every thing else in this world I guess when I have mastered this I will want to upgrade but would recommend walking before running and this seems to be a good place to start. I have purchased an extra longer lens to capture more distance shots. Depth of field adds a great deal to your photographs and it is very easy to capture.The results obtained when using the sports setting allow capturing several shots rapidly and therefore when doing portraits you can pick the one with best expression or for moving subjects the best composition from your subject. If I was looking again I would definitely buy the same and still excited when I get it out of the bag.Read full review

eos 100d dslr
This camera is great value for money, it has nearly the same features as the eos 450d only differences being 2m less megapixels which still leaves it with a healthy 10 mp and also it is 12 bit instead of 14 bit raw which is not too much of a consideration, considering soem people are shooting on much older cameras with lesser specs. i needed a quality camera with all the features I need at a bargain basement price so that I could spend the money on lenses, the 1000d fits all these requirements and more, it has lots of great features, the live view being a big draw especially for focusing manual lenses using the 10x zoom factor while you focus on the screen, the software also allows you to shoot terhered to the computer too which is a nice feature on a budget camera. It also has a satisfactorary autobracket range and you can also do bracketed flash and white balance, these features seem excellent for a low end dslr. If you want a great camera with great features at a low prce so you can buy some excellent glass you could worse than buy this. ps the 18-55 non IS lens is also capable of great sharpness, dont believe everything you read both the kit lenses are excellent bits of glass, and sharpness is more likely to be affected by the users technique than the lensRead full review

The brilliant canon eos 1000D
I really wanted a slr digital canon camera , but not the older 350 0r 400 d ,something recent with over 10 mega pix, auto sensor cleaning and live view .This camera has got everthing similar features as the very expensive. I have had it a few months now and its got so many useful features I am still learning them .Another great thing is the 5 x and 10 times focus on live view ,quick mode and then along with all that also the auto-focus. I can understand why you do not see these cameras for sale second -hand very often at all..They are great !
