Have not placed the lighthouse in the garden as yet as I need to place pebbles and small rocks around it, but it looks nice and it is a good height {I chose the 40cm one}. The light looks really good when switched on. The only gripe is there are no instructions in the box to show how to replace the solar battery if and when needed, or if the lighthouse should be switched on or off to recharge the battery when outdoors?

Attractive and works well. Downfall is the top of the lighthouse holds water which can ingress into the battery compartment and workings. Fortunately this is removable with a simple slight twist and I would recomend the top is taken indoors in any wet weather. Also the switch is in a vunerable position and will allow ingress of water around the button. A little more thought in weatherproofing would make this an excellent product. I would also suggest the base is secured to a larger diameter mounting to avoid the lighthouse being blown over in windy conditions, its a little fragile and would not withstand a fall.
