This great little gubbins is (just about) small enough to carry in your pocket but provides a lot of the functionality of a tablet. I picked mine up second hand for £80 and reckon it was a steal- on holiday I used it as a reader, music player and for making travel & hotel reservations via its wi-fi connectivity (used Trivago- excellent btw). I'm 51 years old, and find the screen on my mobile too small for internet usage, and this gadget fits the bill. I had a look at a relative's Galaxy Note which greatly impressed me- basically same sort of device with phone functions added, but the Note costs more than I'm willing to shell out for a phone, and the increasing provision of wi-fi means you can always find a way to get online with this type of device (buy a coffee in McD's if need be).
Plays just about everything from low res AVi to 720p MKVs (show me another tablet, aside from Samsung Tab, which can!), and is an ideal semi-tablet for casual use. It's too big for a phone and too small for a pukka tablet, but the perfect size for a media player that happily plays most of the formats you'd usually download or rip yourself. Happy with MKVs with AC3 audio, so that's pretty much the majority covered, and also does well with low res and oter stuff. Plays Angry Birds etc well (though not as good as a 7/10" tablet) and the screen is excellent even if not AMOLED...great in normal light but not so clear in bright sun etc. Overall, for the price you can get these for, they're a bargain! Who'd want an iPod Touch?
This is perfect for what I wanted. It looks good, was easy to set up and download to, connected with wifi and bluetooth without any issues. I primarily wanted it as a media player to link to my car system and enable me to play e-books during my long commutes to work, or even longer site visits around the country. I previously bought a cheaper iPod style player but it was very poor, wouldn't connect well and packed in after a couple of weeks. This seems a much better quality item so far and I am enjoying listening to my choices rather than what's on the radio. Obviously, it has internet access, a camera and all that as well but they are secondary to my purpose.

If you are looking for a device to read ebooks watch movies and listen to music, this device is excellent. The wifi works better my galaxy s phone and this device connects easily to my phone for out of the house use of the internet.the size is perfect as it allows you to do things without constant zooming in, but it is not so big as to be problematic to carry like a 10inch tablet. all in all I would highly recommend to anyone who does not want to pay the extra to own a galaxy note.
Superb piece of kit. Samsung make very good products and this is no exception. I was looking to replace my iPod Touch and as much as I like Apple this has all the benefits of Android. It runs very well, battery life is good, the screen is large and clear, the internet is fast, it's great as a music player. In the time I have had it I can't fault it.
