Have struggled with internet provider’s “award winning” hub, which is rubbish as I had constant problems with speeds and my devices losing connection constantly. Decided to bite the bullet and buy top of the range router despite the price. I’ve not looked back, as I’m now getting the speeds I pay for, everything stays connected and is super fast! The only thing is, that with this particular router, if you have ADSL connections straight from the wall, you will need to purchase a NETGEAR modem as the Nighthawk X10 only has Ethernet internet port, not ADSL! I bought the NETGEAR DM200 modem which complements it really well. Just make sure to get the gateway username and password from your ISP. This is NOT the one you log into, it’s a special one that allows their signal down the broadband line! You will need to put that info into the modem so that it will work, unless you turn your ISP’s hub into a modem. I found their products inferior all round so opted for my own modem to complement my Nighthawk. I also found that the NETGEAR support team were incredibly helpful in helping me set it all up.Read full review

Fantastic router, easy to instal, great range and very fast (sorry I am not a technical person so my review is based on daily use)

Former flagship product from Netgear; at the price I got it, still an absolute snip. Officially licensed to be a 'Plex' media server as well! The only downside... for some reason it DOESN'T support 'Netgear Armor' security software?!? That's not enough to discourage me from snapping it up, though!

Works like new. Even came with all the original documentation. Got DD-Wrt working with no major hassle. Would highly recommend!
