The noise reducing capability is extremely good. The controls are simple and very effective. I had an effects loop that was producing quite a lot of background noise (three different EHX units); this pedal removed it immediately. The settings can be adjusted to fine tune the effect but it was 100% effective straight out of the box! For £20 this is incredible. The construction is pretty solid (I'd say about 80% compared to the 100% of a Boss stompbox). Just two niggles; (a) the power supply input is on the right side, next to the input cable jack. That might be awkward for some users. (b) getting at the internal battery can be tricky; you have to pop the side joints - a pen tip is fine. It's more fiddly than the Boss system but its fine and, for the price, no problem at all.
