I can't fault this phone, it is fantastic. Top spec processor and 6gb of ram, the camera is out of this world and I love the large 4k screen. I'm not keen on the new 18/9 screen ratio phones because they are too narrow, making the keyboard too small. This is probably the highest spec and most easily usable 16/9 screen ratio phone in existence! The only drawback for some is the size and weight, but for me I like the reassuring feeling of it and I love the size for the bigger keyboard - so it's not a drawback at all. I can't stand iPhone's for its ridiculous operating system that hides everything, you have to be in the know to use it. The amount of time I spent looking blankly at my works ipad when I first got it says it all. Where as this phone is a lot more self-explanatory, anyone can pretty much use it fully right from the start. It is also a lot better in my eyes than the Samsung phones. I had an S9 before buying the Sony, and I sold it on after about 2 months of use. I tried my best, but the screen was too small thanks to its 18/9 screen ratio and more importantly what is that Bixby button all about!? Giving an optional extra like that it's own button on the side was highly irritating. Its pretty much on the opposite side of the power button, so when I put my phone in my pocket, it goes in in all sorts of different orientations. Thanks to the buttons on the sides mirroring themselves I would know which way round the phone was, rugularly hitting the Bixby button to start up the phone by accident, which is highly annoying! With the Sony XZ2 premium, all of the buttons are down one side making it much easier to know which way round in your pocket your phone is as you pull it out. Another big advantage is the finger print scanner, it is instant, and very easy to locate thanks to the dual camera lense opening being far bigger. The extra width of the phone also makes it easy to get your finger on it. With the S9, it was too narrow to position my finger on and keep a good grip of the phone, also I kept mistaking the camera lense for the scanner as it was the same size. So in the end I just didn't use the finger print scanner at all, and that brought about the Bixby button issue! Just a really poorly designed phone ergonomically speaking. Another issue with the Samsung (and apple for that matter) is the fact they point you towards backing everything up to Samsung not Google, in an attempt to entrap you into sticking with their phones. Which is reason enough not to buy them just out of principle. Sony phones automatically hook you up to Google to back your phone up, so you can swap to any Android phone in the future. I had a Sony Z5 Premium phone before this one, which was also amazing in just about every way for its age. So, in summary: I would fully trust pretty much any Sony phone produce as they seem to have their finger on the pulse of what ACTUALLY works well when using a phone, rather than what they think might work in theory. And this phone is the pinacle of what they have made to date. I am sceptical about the new XZ3 range due to the 18/9 screen ratio, but I have just purchased an XZ3 and am waiting for delivery. Let's hope they have found a way to make that screen ratio work, and are not just trying to copy Samsung's awful design. Thanks for readingRead full review

I'd been waiting for one of these to come along. I had the XZ premium original. It was stolen. XZ2 was too expensive so waited for one to pop up on Ebay. I love it and use it all the time. 6Gb of ram.
