Sonys step up 40" lcd tv. Launched in 2007, replacement for the KDL-40V2000. Freeview ready, hd ready with 2 HDMI sockets. (the previous model only had 1 HDMI) Also has 2 scart sockets, pc input, componant input, and phono audio out. Priced at about £1800 at launch, now down to around £1000 - £1200 on the high street. A great tv, with superb colours. only downside for some people, is it does not support full HD (1080p) If you want full hd, look into sony's W or X-series.But as there is not much out there that can give a full Hd output - this V-series is a serous contender offering superb value for money.
The quality of picture on this TV is so much better than anything I have seen on any other TV (except the ones costing twice the price and even then they only match this quality and do not exceed it) that I would not even consider buying any other TV. I compared to a number of other including rear projection, Sony XBR, and plazma. None have better picture. I am very happy with the purchase, Excellent
Its alright, but I could have bought same in the market or may be for less especially during sale nowadays. However, I've got it now and used.
