Bought this as a return to drumming as I haven't played since a teenager but with lockdown happening i found myself looking for something to do, and here we are! The drums are great, relatively easy to setup (although it will need fine tuning to suit your frame/height) and the pads are very responsive. Obviously not as good as real skins but for what it is it's perfect. I bought the package with stool and headphones, which I wouldn't recommend if you already have headphones. The lead of the pair supplied is far too short, meaning the cable just hangs directly over where you want to play, so I just canned them and found a old separate pair lying around with a longer lead. The pads whilst sounding great do show marks from the provided sticks almost immediately, so if you're worried about it looking pristine, either find some different sticks or a different kit. This will get well used in my house nevertheless!Read full review

Good product, great for a starting out drummer or someone who wants to practise quietly. Generally good. Bad parts are pedals which are sensitive and can't be feathered easily, you can't choose how much you put on the high-hat for instance so certain sounds are in-achievable but I don't know if this is better on more expensive electric drums. Personally I also found it quite quiet with the headphones plugged in, I got around this by plugging an amp into the drums then headphones into the amp, which is a bit of an annoyance but not too bad. The other bad points are going to happen with any electric drum set, that's that you don't really get the feel of proper drums, you can't hit the sides for the same sound and some issues with sound. But as a practise kit or for light, starting-out drumming it is definitely a good buy. You can plug a music system into the drums too and listen to music while you drum, which is real nice. It does what I wanted and I have mostly just focused on the negative here.Read full review

I was going to buy a mesh kit or pay a bit more however I thought as they are just for practice they would probably do the job and they do so for the money they're pretty exceptional because the whole thing works it's very easy to put together and if you can put up with the tap tapping noise they're not a problem why pay more?

I recently decided to learn the drums. As I live in a flat, it had to be an e-kit. Did loads of research and was tempted by more expensive kits with mesh heads, but as a beginner I figured the extra authenticity / functionality would be wasted on me. I'm very happy with my purchase and have spent about 30 hours on it already! Rebound is similar to a practice pad (except cymbals, but I think that's true of all e-kits) and the snare in particular has an excellent volume range. Sounds like a real drum kit too!
