These machines are serious work horses and put the current $10,000 Mac/imac systems to shame. The Mac Pro 5,1 can be upgraded in so many ways, fast processors, huge memory, fast storage and latest graphics cards really give these systems a huge advantage. A fully maxed out Mac Pro 5,1 costs around £2500-£3000 but for that you have a system which handles anything. Ideal for professionals who need reliable machine. Forget the trashcan and forget the imac.. get the classic Mac Pro!!

These workhorses may be 8 years old now, but Apple haven't made a finer machine. Get the 12-core 3.46 for ultimate punch, but the 6-core is still good.
