needed something inexpensive to repair the worn spindle bearings on my 2006 model troy built. these went on and fit great but luckily I hand spun each one before putting the belt on. one of the new ones had a bent pulley that wobbled up and down, easy fix however I took it back off and reused one of my old pulleys and it spun straight and smooth. mowed twice so far and they work great.

This was the correct fit for my machine. The spindles are good quality and it comes with needed pulleys. My complaint would be it is sent with the mounting bolts, said to be “self tapping” into the spindle. But they would not tap all the way through without breaking the head off. Either the spindle cast pilot hole is too small or the bolt is low quality. After breaking two bolts. I tapped the spindle with a 5/16 x18 Tao and then used red lock tire to install all bolts. The spindles are installed now and working as needed.

The old mower is still going strong as ever, at 13 years old! A few parts along the way, like this spindle, seem to be better quality than the parts it was built with in 2006.

Spindles arrived well packed and very fast. Spindles were the correct size and had grease fittings on them as well. The stock ones did not. My only disappointment was the bolt holes were not tapped and no self tapping bolts were included. So a hardware store run was required to get them installed. Note: The last set of these I changed on another brand came with new bolts.

I have installed one spindle, and it seems to fit perfectly. The assembly did not come with a nut to retain the blade, but my local Cub Cadet dealer had them in stock, so that was no problem. The only feature that I would change is the grease fitting. The old spindle had ti on the upper part, above the deck, and this one is located below the deck, making it harder to reach. Not a major problem, since blades need to be sharpened anyway on a regular basis. Overall, I am very pleased with the apparent quality for the price.
