i had a chromebook a few years ago but had to go back to a windows pc for work reasons. if you do not need any 'client' type software the chromebook is fabulous. this came from Argos as a managers special refurb - it as new. perfect condition , performs really well and with reasonable daily use i can go 3 days without charging. i use google a lot so setting up the chromebook was so easy, enter email address and everything set up for me. great product - really happy with it.

Good points: - Lightweight (only 1.1 kg) - Fast start (within 20 seconds of switching it on) - Long battery life (watching movies it can last 8-9 hours; with ordinary tasks it lasts 10-11 hours) - Great for general browsing Bad points: - You cannot download any programs onto chromebooks. So if you like to use Microsoft Office then it's better to go for a Windows laptop. Editing documents is very limited with Google own Office apps (or any other apps from Google Play Store). - Google Play Store apps don't work as they should. Although I don't think this is the fault of this particular model, I believe it's the same with all chromebooks. - Battery light is at the front rather than to the side and it constantly flashes red which can be annoying to look at. Easily solved by putting a little bit of black tape over it. - Can be a bit laggy if more than a dozen tabs are open in Chrome browser. Also, sometimes the browser will close by itself and won't offer to restore lost tabs upon restarting.Read full review

I ordered Monday morning and it arrived Wednesday morning. All sealed and new, not a scratch on anything. Chromebook works very well and is very easy to set up. Very speedy, only tiny issue is the trackpad. It can be a bit dry to the touch and the pressing of it takes getting used to. But very functional and a portable mouse can be used anyway. And lightweight? Ive carried newspapers heavier than it - it's incredible. It also charges quite quickly for the battery life it supplies.
