Had my Sony a7 ii for a few weeks so still finding out what it is capable of. I'm a long time Sony a mount user and with the adition of the adapter LA-EA4 I am able to use all my older lenses on this camera. Focusing is surprisingly fast and responsive. The a7 ii is amazingly small but solid and handling is exellent. Focusing is very very fast with the Zeiss 24-70 f4, equal to my a99 ii with matching Zeiss and of course so much smaller (and cheaper!). This camera with Zeiss lens will be going everywhere with me this year, even overseas, which due to size and weight I haven't taken an SLR for years.

I changed from a Canon system (after 25 years of dedicated EOS use) and I couldn't be more impressed. Image quality easily matches if not betters that of any Full Frame DSLR I've used. The handling is perfect for me and my camera bag is now close to half the weight ( body and 3-4 lenses). I love the short mount to sensor distance allowing the use of pretty much any SLR or Rangefinder lens ever made to be used via 3rd party adapters. You don't need to spend 5k to enjoy Leica glass. I've also adapted Nikon and Contax glass with excellent results. The manual focus aids are supurb, superior to the Fuji & Panasonic options I've tried. The native Sony E Mount glass is also very nice.
