Handmade, Colourfully Engraved Pewter Case. (Possibly Antique) in Cheltenham

Sometimes, when I'm feeling low, I remember long ago, being crafted into an attractive, colourfully engraved, pewter case - by crude tools, held in rough, brown-skinned hands 'neath an unforgiving, baking sun. I think it was in Egypt, or maybe Morocco. or some other ancient place, which always held the strong, mixed aroma of camels and hookah smoke. Okay, so I'm made of pewter, but inside, I shine like silver! Have you ever seen such a collectible, wantable case - with character? My unique and coloured engraving - similar to tatoos I like to think - depicts a simple, local scene of: trees, shrubs, water, fish, and other odd, unrecognizable, arcane symbols My reverse is identical. I cannot recall when I was created, but I have been used, by my owner, as an 'ornament' since 1974 and he reckons I may wll be antique! I measure: 13cm x 8cm x 1.5cm. Read more
