Entry level sony bravia 40" lcd TV. Launched in 2007, replaced the KDL-40S2030. Freeview ready, hd ready with 2 X HDMI socket. (the older model only had 1 x HDMI) Also 2 scart sockets, pc input, componant input, and phono audio out. This 40s2530 is the full black model. You will also find the 40s2510 which is identical apart from being black with silver trim and silver footplate, Priced at about £1500 at launch, now down to around £900 - £1000 on the high street, A good tv, great for watching Hi-Def tv on from sky or cable, or for playing Hi-def games consoles like the X-box 360 or playstation 3. Please be warned though, that such a large tv will struggle with a standard tv signal,or standard sky source unless you are viewing from a suitable distance away. This is sonys entry level S-series, you will also find higher spec V, W and x-series models.Read full review
I had been looking for an LCD for some time and the Sony had been given a good write ip, I was limited in Budget and therefore waiting for the price to drop. Unfortunately for me the price has dropped since I purchased it, so they are probably even better value now. I am happy with the set and it seems to perform as well as I expected, on current performance I would recommend the set to anyone else.
