I bought the monitor for my university room and would recommend it for that purpose. It doesn't produce a totally crystal clear picture but for that you'd have to buy a dedicated television with all the bells and whistles those bring. Having said that, this really does a good job and I don't have any complaints with regard to either picture or sound. Yes, the sound is somewhat tinny through the TV speakers but not to the detriment of the experience. If you want spectacular sound then again, you'll be looking at a dedicated TV. I use computer speakers and those do the job nicely. As a monitor it performs well, but as I don't play games I can't comment on the refresh rate or resolution. My only real negative points are only one HDMI input and a tiny niggle involving the programme guide not being particularly responsive; the navigation isn't instant. I suppose tilt would be great, but it's not a deal-breaker for me and I don't really want for it now. Overall, this TV/monitor will be no one's first choice as a primary television, and it does a solid job as a bedroom option.Read full review
