A fabulous large domed victorian trunkcollection only due to the size of the trunkwe bought the trunk but is too big in front of the bay windowinside the trunk you will see it is lined with paper and has a beautiful pattern insideit has the original handles on either side and wood and metal decoration to the outside of the trunkdue to its age there is wear and tear as you can see from the photos but the quality of the trunk and the look is beautifulif you have any questions please don't hesitate to askit has two beautiful clasps on the front in working order and a lock but unfortunately no keymeasuring height to the top of the dome shape at 22the width is 34 inches and the depth is 19would be so lovely in the living room or as storage at the bottom of your bed

Large tin trunk this substantial trunk dates back to victorian/edwardian timesthe trunk is very handy for storing items as a lot fits insidethe inside has not been painted so is original with some signs of wear on the bottom where the paint has worn somewhatit is in good condition for its age and all sides except for the underneath have has been painted in a creamy off white farrow and ball colour, dimitywe are 4 miles north of kington, 18 miles west of ludlowthis can of course be lined with paper or cloth etcit has a brass lock on the front (there is no key so this is purely decorative)there are hardly any dents and it is in clean conditioncollection only and cash on collection pleasethis polishes up nicelyit measures 69cm wide, 48cm deep and 47cm high

As in almost all these pieces the carvings are later, victorianantique 17th century oak kist/trunkdimensions approxlength 119cm width 54cm height 51cmi would need your email and tel number for the courier, which is free with this price but if you collect i will discount the courier charge read morei have had it appraised and the date of build is circathis is an old and lovely piece of practical furniturethe back panel has saw marks which could date that piece of wood much earlier eg 16th-14th centuryan estate build from whatever available oak the craftsman had at hand or the work of an individual woodworkerit has had historical repairs which i would be suspicious of if it hadn't some of which are antiques in their own rightsolid and functional the wood has a marvelous aging patina which i hope the photo's do justice to
