tonto was only sold due to personal circumstances2hh 6yr old piebald gelding in the school ā tonto is green so needs further educationhas been ridden by all ages and heights of rider tonto is up to date with vaccs and open to any vetting tontoās history, tonto was purchased by his previous owner as a just backed 4yr old, he was mainly used for hacking, then given the winter off to maturehe has even hacked passed a car being pressure washed and did not bat an eyelid tonto is a cracking young chap with so much potentialjumping is not an area tonto has done much, he can pop around a little clear round but again with more time and schooling he will be a lovely capable little cobhacking is where he really comes into his own, alone or in company, he is happy to go first or last, he has hacked passed farms and primary school with children playing and screaminghe is very genuine but does need more schooling so would not be suitable for a novice rider until he is more established in the schoollwvtb, trials or timewasters, old owner adores this horse and would love to stay in contact, 5 star home essential open to any vettings, videos available! read morethen last year was brought back into work and started a bit of schoolinghe is a farm ride and a couple of small in-hand showing classesmainly he was used for hacking, according to previous owner he had to hack through a tescos car park to get to the country park and has to stand at traffic lights, he was always fabulous to hack alone and in companyup to date with vaccs, good for the farrier (barefoot), physio, dentist and never had a day sick or sorryhe will walk trot and canter and most the time gets the right leg, he is more leg on than leg off

The good bits - tonto is a fantastic companionthe not so good bits - although quiet, tonto is very nervous around peoplei purchased tonto a few months ago to be a companion pony to my older horsehe loves his treats and starts to relax if the handler is calm and steady around himhe is a shetland type but not overweight and doesnāt get fathe is tricky to catch and needs to be kept in restricted turnout for this reasononce youāve got him, heās happy to be brushed and have a fussif he went in a huge paddock you wouldnāt get near himyou can take others away and he doesnāt whinny or get sillyskewbald, three year old, standard shetland pony type (not registered) geldingbut then some days if a bird flies out of the hedge and spooks him then heāll think youāve hurt him and doesnāt want to knowwhen i bought him i was told heād not had a good start in lifehe just needs a one to one, sympathetic handler to give him time and let him learn to trusthe is very easily spooked and very good at scaring himself! he is not suitable for children or novicessadly i just donāt have the time to give him what he needsheās just very nervous but with the stubbornness of a shetland! heās passported, wormed and feet trimmeditās much easier having him in a smaller space, at least until he learns to trust youheās been stabled and is happy to be left in or go out on his own/with companyheās happy to be left alone and doesnāt get attached to other horsesheās a lovely looking chap with gorgeous blue eyesor to just be a companion and left alonei donāt want much for him, but he isnāt free as i donāt want him ending up in the wrong handsmy older horse has since been sold and now this little chap is by himself and in need of a new homehe is quiet and calm in the paddockhe comes over for food in a bucket and thatās how i catch him

I'd love to find a loving and caring home for tonto because he loves all attention and grooming he's brilliant to catch and comes trotting up to mei've showed him in hand and he was brilliantif you was looking at him for a project, he has been ridden in a saddle and bridle but on the lead rein this is due to not enough time to bring him onideally a young girl learning to ride on a lead rein, he's very good on the lead rein and has had young kids cantering on the lead rein beforea gorgeous 12,2hh, 5 year old, traditional gypsy cob
