**sold to a wonderful lady** for sale: tonto 163hh piebald gelding ish 12yrs old (dob: ) very sad sale as i have owned him since he turned 4yrs oldi have mainly done fun rides and hacking with him, plus a few hound exerciseshe did grow bigger than i expected and i have to face the fact that at 63yrs old, i now need something smaller and less stronghe is good to box (not done for 2 yrs), teeth, farrier etche would be best suited to a home with good turnout and grass, as he loves thishe hasn't been out too much due to covid, therefore he needs bringing back into a routinehe does gates on hackshe does not need a lot of leg, as he is very receptive to your aids and voice commandshe can get quite strong in open fields when in company, therefore no novices pleaseĀ£ based in shropshire no trials or loans please message me if interested - thank youhe would ideally suit someone who will be working him at least 3 or 4 times a week, he is not plod, likes to be doingwe currently turn out in the day and stable at night (but depending on the weather, he can stay out at night too)tack is negotiable if requiredhe hacks both alone and in company and is good in traffiche originally came from ireland where he was broken in, xc schooled, hunted etcpassported, vaccinations up to date, teeth done 3 months ago**sold** **sold** read morehe needs a confident and kind rider, as he is soft in the mouth and does not like to be yanked

tonto is looking for an experienced, kind home to continue his educationwas backed professionally last year and turned away, brought back into work over the summer so he is green but heās really switched on and picks everything up quickly never strong, good to catch, loads himself and travels like a dream, he will turn out with anything but can get a bit clingy with mares in same field he is not a novice ride!! as he can be sharp and forgets his manners on the ground at times but the more you do the better this gets, he loves a proper routine - nothing that will phase someone with experience would be a great competition pony and has so much potential and characterhe is currently schooling nicely on the flat and loves jumpingheās very brave, absolutely nothing phases him - has seen show jumps, cross country courses, ridden in arena and open fields and no different in either, hacks out alone and in company, great in trafficplease text/whatsapp for any more info, plenty of videos and pictures on request read moreserious enquiries only - the right home is very important

tonto was only sold due to personal circumstances2hh 6yr old piebald gelding in the school ā tonto is green so needs further educationhas been ridden by all ages and heights of rider tonto is up to date with vaccs and open to any vetting tontoās history, tonto was purchased by his previous owner as a just backed 4yr old, he was mainly used for hacking, then given the winter off to maturehe has even hacked passed a car being pressure washed and did not bat an eyelid tonto is a cracking young chap with so much potentialjumping is not an area tonto has done much, he can pop around a little clear round but again with more time and schooling he will be a lovely capable little coblwvtb, trials or timewasters, old owner adores this horse and would love to stay in contact, 5 star home essential open to any vettings, videos available! read morehe is very genuine but does need more schooling so would not be suitable for a novice rider until he is more established in the schoolup to date with vaccs, good for the farrier (barefoot), physio, dentist and never had a day sick or sorryhe is a farm ride and a couple of small in-hand showing classesmainly he was used for hacking, according to previous owner he had to hack through a tescos car park to get to the country park and has to stand at traffic lights, he was always fabulous to hack alone and in companyhe will walk trot and canter and most the time gets the right leg, he is more leg on than leg offthen last year was brought back into work and started a bit of schoolinghacking is where he really comes into his own, alone or in company, he is happy to go first or last, he has hacked passed farms and primary school with children playing and screaming

The good bits - tonto is a fantastic companionthe not so good bits - although quiet, tonto is very nervous around peoplei purchased tonto a few months ago to be a companion pony to my older horsehe loves his treats and starts to relax if the handler is calm and steady around himhe is very easily spooked and very good at scaring himself! he is not suitable for children or novicesonce youāve got him, heās happy to be brushed and have a fussor to just be a companion and left aloneheās been stabled and is happy to be left in or go out on his own/with companyyou can take others away and he doesnāt whinny or get sillymy older horse has since been sold and now this little chap is by himself and in need of a new homebut then some days if a bird flies out of the hedge and spooks him then heāll think youāve hurt him and doesnāt want to knowhe just needs a one to one, sympathetic handler to give him time and let him learn to trustitās much easier having him in a smaller space, at least until he learns to trust youheās a lovely looking chap with gorgeous blue eyeshe is tricky to catch and needs to be kept in restricted turnout for this reasonheās happy to be left alone and doesnāt get attached to other horseshe is a shetland type but not overweight and doesnāt get fati donāt want much for him, but he isnāt free as i donāt want him ending up in the wrong handshe is quiet and calm in the paddockif he went in a huge paddock you wouldnāt get near himsadly i just donāt have the time to give him what he needsskewbald, three year old, standard shetland pony type (not registered) geldinghe comes over for food in a bucket and thatās how i catch himwhen i bought him i was told heād not had a good start in lifeheās just very nervous but with the stubbornness of a shetland! heās passported, wormed and feet trimmed

I'd love to find a loving and caring home for tonto because he loves all attention and grooming he's brilliant to catch and comes trotting up to mea gorgeous 12,2hh, 5 year old, traditional gypsy cobi've showed him in hand and he was brilliantif you was looking at him for a project, he has been ridden in a saddle and bridle but on the lead rein this is due to not enough time to bring him onideally a young girl learning to ride on a lead rein, he's very good on the lead rein and has had young kids cantering on the lead rein before
