In nice clean condition commensurate with age this lovely 19th century travelling chest is made from mahogany and features cast ironhandles at each endhaving a lovely deep patina the overall dimensions are approximately: l 98 x w 46 x d 46cms the internal depth of the lid section is approximately 10cms and the base interior is 31cms giving a total internal depth of 41cmsthe interior is wooden lined and with a fixed internal section/candle boxmortice & tenon jointed to each corner and with feature riveted wrap around iron bracing sections to each endinternal width is 425cms length and the fixed section/candle box is 42happy to assist in finding competitive courier costs if necessary? read morethe original locking plate/mechanism is still intact but it is missing the key and the original lifting ring for the lid is missing the bottom section (see photographs)
