The trunk has something heavy inside it but we have never had it opened but will have to take it to a locksmith to pick the lock but we won't be selling it until we know what has been inside for the time we have owned itvery old strong box with rivetted metal strap work, some sign of age to the frieze around the base of the trunk but still in good order, it has the date of which has been applied sometime in its history probably more than 40 years ago before we bought it, but the date is about right
