Original ww2 german third reich bakelite flag pole topon the reverse the pole top is the same except the center area has an nicely detailed iron cross complete with serrations, a vaulted center swastika, and the date ofon the obverse facing is a roman-like sword pointing upward with an overlapping wreath of oak leaves around the lower sectionit is constructed out of bakelite and has been coated with a gold finishon the cross guard of the sword is a disk having an immobile swastika in the centerthe bottom portion of the pole top is cylindrical with four mounting holesmany more photographs available, i can only upload 3 on here read morethis pole top measures just about 10 inches tallthis is quite a rare pole top, there are not many originals that survived after the war and most of the originals i have seen are often very badly damaged / broken this example is intact and in very good condition apart from it is cracked / has some damage at the bottom (see photos) probably from when it got removed from the pole as a souvenir to bring backwritten around the border of the swastika are the words symbol wird waffethere date then each side cross that bears the date ofwould make a great display item
