I am selling my antique metal trunk made by the jones brothers and co ltd of wolverhampton in the early 'si have never seen one of these trunks that was gold gilded inside and so highly decorated which leads me to believe this was made for an officer of high standingplease see photos closelythese trunks were called owomeji uniform trunks made for postings to africawith an army british made trade mark inside and the crescent decoration on it which was made with a rounded stick when the black paint was still wet and this was because the crescent was seen as a symbol of good luck in africagood vintage condition relative to agea truly beautiful item in its completely original statecompletely original conditionit measures 93 cm x 59 cm x 29 cm and is quite stunning
