Scarce schatz 8 day dark wood, oak / walnut? triple 3 tune chime clock s with silent feature lovely charming little bracket mantle chime fully restored schatz very high quality, made in germany professionally strip serviced and working perfectly lovely dark wood case, not sure if it is oak or walnut very difficult to find this clock in such superb condition (just mentioned for accuracy it does have some tiny age related marks to the top, only noticeable on very close inspection) no pendulum or fussy setting up required superior original 7 jewelled lever escapement fitted for excellent timekeeping, (not the inferior pin pallet alarm clock escapement version as fitted to some of these) there is a clever chime & silent selector at the back of the clock (away from unwanted attention) there is a choice of three tunes: whittington, st michael and westminster lovely gentle bright happy chimes using its original schatz leather hammers the clock chimes on 8 small bronze chime rods which are unique to schatz this stunning movement is probably one of the smallest triple chimes made the clock will chime at every 15 minutes and also strike the hours on the hour the clock cleverly, automatically puts the chimes into the correct sequence if it is allowed to stop or been switched to silent the timekeeping is regulated by the original 7 jewelled lever escapement and keeping excellent time complete with its scarce original winding key very user friendly and will come with easy set-up instructions clock weighs a substantial 33 kg size: height (handle up) 300mm, (handle down) 280mm, length 230mm, depth 170mm any questions welcome, please contact me read more
