Shetlands are a rare heritage breed (so rare this site doesn’t even have the breed on the drop down list!) and they lay blue eggs, so he will carry the blue egg gene meaning you can cross him with brown eggers and create olive eggers and have a beautiful rainbow egg basket this spring! aside from that he is also just simply stunningshadow is desperately in search of a new loving homecollection from dartmoor, or local delivery can be arrangedsadly he was the only shetland chicken to hatch from some specially bought eggs last year (from yorkshire), and my current marans cockerel won’t accept him now he’s come of age
